Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved a new minimum wage for Lagos State public servants with effect from November 1, 2019.
In a circular dated, 27th November, 2019 signed by the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Odunola, stated that Governor Sanwo-Olu has graciously approved an increment of 30% for public servants of Grade Level 07 and below.
Staff on GL 08 -10 got 25% increment, GL 12 -14 got 22.5% while GL 15 -17 got 20% increment.
The circular noted that the increments are more than the Federal Government's approved recommendation for minimum wage increment.
